Providing Safe Shelter and Other Services
Sexual Violence Services
Faye Peterson House now manages and operates a Sexual Violence Program where we provide services and supports to those who have experienced sexual violence. Our crisis lines remain the same for these services.
About Faye Peterson House
The Faye Peterson House provides a safe and supportive temporary shelter environment, crisis services, counselling, outreach, transitional support, advocacy, early childhood education, and support groups to survivors, youth and their children who are experiencing abuse or are at risk of abuse. We also offer sexual violence services and supports through our sexual violence program.
Freedom from abuse is every person’s basic right. Under Section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada, it is against the law for anyone to abuse their spouse, common-law partner, or girlfriend/boyfriend.
At Faye Peterson House, we promote trans inclusion and advocacy. As such, we serve anyone who identifies as a woman and their children including gender and sexually diverse people.

“I am really glad for Faye Peterson. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t pushed the issue to talk to someone from there.”
“It took me many years to gain back confidence and self esteem that had just been destroyed from staying in my marriage. I finally gained it back with Faye Peterson after being with them for many years.”
