Shelter program
The Faye Peterson House is a 24 bed shelter providing a safe shelter and support to survivors of abuse who identify as women and their children, including gender and sexually diverse people such as Trans and Transmasculine people. Survivors and their children receive in-house counselling and support programs to meet their needs. In addition the necessities of life are provided (e.g. food, clothing, medical attention, etc.)
55+ Womens Program
Provides advocacy, support, individual and group counselling, safety planning, assistance with housing applications, court, legal aid and lawyers appointments to survivors of abuse who are 55 years of age and over.
Description of Group
Group session topics include, healing the trauma of abuse, videos on abuse, self-esteem, boundaries, stress management, self-care, health, etc
