Our History
The Faye Peterson House is a program of Crisis Homes Inc., a registered, non-profit organization that has been in operation since 1983. The ongoing support given to the House by individuals and groups is gratefully acknowledged. By working together we can end violence against survivors and their children.
The Faye Peterson House is a supportive place where a survivor can consider all their options and make decisions for themselves. Faye Peterson Transition House offers:
- Safe and secure shelter for survivors and children who have left or leaving abusive situations
- 24 hour, 7 days a week crisis line and counsellors
- Sexual violence services & supports
- Services for Trans/Transmasculine People
- Emergency clothing for survivors and their children
- Confidential counselling
- Information and referrals
- Advocacy
- Follow-up services
- Education on violence. (Speakers available upon request.)
